"Lottery Scam""You have won the Lottery!" or "Claim your Prize!" Originating from the Netherlands and other foreign countries, these scams can be very costly. They may be after your money by asking you to pay a shipping fee or taxes, or they may also be after your personal information so they can steal your identity. If you don't remember buying a ticket or entering a draw, then more likely than not it is an identity theft or fraud scam. The Solution Prevention is the key to this type of identity theft scam. Be aware and do not respond to any lottery or prize offering that you have not entered yourself. Do not even request to be removed from their list.
